UK mortality statistics for patients with multiple sclerosis

Results of a large study including most patients in the UK diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) over a 15-year period reveal an increased risk of death compared with matched control subjects, with the mean age at death for MS patients being about 5 years younger than controls.
